To begin with, self-love is the ultimate action of prioritizing YOU- your comfort, happiness and health. It’s a commitment to your well-being, and it’s at the heart of everything we do. Self-Love Her First is more than a mantra; it’s a LYFEstyle of Loving Yourself First Everyday.

How you feel is how you give. As a woman, wife, mother, lover, child, friend, and or coworker, I’ve learned that taking care of myself allows me to show up fully and meaningfully in all my relationships.

In addition, positive affirmations reshape your mindset, reinforcing self-worth and confidence. They remind you of your inner strength and giude you into BEcoming a better you.

Meditation

Similarly, Meditation helps calm your mind, reduce stress, and increase seld-awarness. It creates a space wher you can reconnect with yourself, find peace, and gain clarity on your intentions. It creates a sacred space where you can pause, reconnect with yourself, and find a sense of peace amidst life’s demands. Meditation is a valuable tool for your well-being. It supports mental, emotional, and spiritual balance, helping you thrive from within.

Prayer is when you talk to God. Meditation is when you listen to God.

“I will regard my well-being as sacred. I will commit to pouring into myself first and then sharing in my overflow. This is the year of feeling complete, not depleted. I owe it to myself because I am WORTHY!”

Now, grab a sticky note, write these words down, and place it on your mirror. Each time you see it, let this affirmation serve as a daily reminder of your worth and the sacred promise you’ve made to yourself. This is your moment to thrive.

Speak Positively To Yourself

Affirmations are the positive statements that you will say to yourself to help you foster a positive mindset. We will use this tool to rebuke our negative thoughts and make positive changes. No weapons formed against us shall prosper. We are prepared in knowing that we will face the challenges of negative thinking. However, I have learned that once I am conscious of the thought. I will quickly change the thought with a more positive statement affirming, “Today is a good day and I am doing my best. No weapons formed against me shall prosper. They may come but not prosper.” Speak positively to yourself. Do not allow the day to run you. You run your day. We are in control of our joy regardless of what may be happening around us.

Sure, not everyday will be good, but there will always be someting good about every day. Notice these things and celebrate them. Train your mind to see what’s right. Positivity is a choice.”

Make sure to take time to take care of your well-being. Take time to do things that make you feel comfortable, happy, and support your well-being. When we feel good, we naturally lead healthier lives. Remember, you are in control of your happiness—it’s your connection to what brings you joy from within. While there are countless ways to bring joy into your day, I encourage you to connect with and fall in love with activities that truly make your soul happy. Choose those that also nurture your health, whether it’s mental, spiritual, or physical. Even better, find something that supports all three—like walking in nature. For me, walking is therapy. It’s a simple yet powerful activity that rejuvenates my mind, nourishes my soul, and strengthens my body.

Our goal is to do something for ourselves first. You may have to wake up a little earlier but hey if that’s the case so be it. Aren’t you worth it? When we take care of ourselves, we feel good and we do better. Take the vow, to regard your well-being as a priority. Like Nike says: Just Do It!

What Things Make You Happy?

Ask yourself this question. When reflecting (deep thoughts and careful consideration), grab your pen and pater and write it down. What activities make you fell good? Whether it’s walking, skating, bicycling, running, dancing, lifting weights, or swimming? There are so many activities that you can explore. It’s all about connecting with what brings you joy.

It is important to discover what connects you personally. Only you can determine what brings you joy because it is truly about how it makes you feel.

For me, it’s walking. Like Forrest Gump, I walked and walked, chasing those endorphins. To this day, walking remains a powerful connection, allowing me to release that natural chemical that brings me JOY! So when you connect with what brings you joy, it does not feel like a task. You become more inclined to do it.

Think about what activity brings you joy? Write it down and schedule in some time with yourself.
